Grains

Alfalfa

Growing alfalfa is good in a rotation and can be very profitable. With the PowerRich Balanced Fertility Program, protein and glucose content may be consistently higher. As well, finer stems and more leaves may give you a higher tonnage per acre

Established Crops

Foliar feed with PowerFol (27-20-13) at 5 lbs. of product per acre after each cutting.

New Crops

Apply PowerPak (8-18-18) granular with seed at 20 to 30 lbs. per acre. Foliar feed with PowerFol (27-20-13) at 5 lbs. of product per acre after each cut.

Note: Use in conjunction with your regular Nitrogen Program.
Note: PowerFol fertilizer is non-corrosive and may be applied through irrigation equipment.

Barley (Dryland)

Step 1

Treat seed with PowerRoot (1-2-1) liquid concentrate at least 2 hours prior to seeding.
* Does not replace Vitavax.

Step 2

Apply 20-30 lbs. per acre of (8-18-18) or (8-34-8) PowerPak granular blend in row at seeding time. If your crop requires more macronutrients, apply 25-35 lbs. per acre of (8-19-19) or (9-36-9) granular blend.
* Replaces your present phosphate, potash and sulphur program.

Step 3

Apply 5 to 7 lbs. per acre of PowerFol (27-20-13) or 4.5 lit. of (7-4-6) Ready Phos when plants are at the 3 to 5 leaf stage, generally with herbicide.

Barley (Irrigation)

Step 1

Treat seed with PowerRoot (1-2-1) liquid concentrate. Follow label directions. 1 jug treats 200 to 300 bushels.
* Does not replace Vitavax.

Step 2

Apply 25-35 lbs. per acre of (8-18-18) or (8-34-8) PowerPak granular blend in row at seeding time. If your crop requires more macronutrients, apply 30-40 lbs. per acre of (8-19-19) or (9-36-9) granular blend.

* If in doubt mix some in a jar to test compatibility. Always read directions on herbicide container. If still in doubt call our office or your chemical dealer. Pre-solulate PowerFol foliar before adding to sprayer or nurse tanks.

Note: Use in conjunction with your regular Nitrogen Program.
Note: PowerFol fertilizer is non-corrosive and may be applied through irrigation equipment.

Canola & Mustard

Step 1

Apply recommended rate of PowerPak (8-18-18), granular blend, generally 30-40 lbs. per acre. If your crop requires more macronutrients, apply 35-45 lbs. of (8-19-19) per acre.

If you are using a separate sulfur program apply (8-34-8) or (8-18-18) at 20-30 lbs. per ace. If your crop requires more macronutrients apply (9-36-9) or (8-19-19) at 30-40 lbs. per acre.

Step 2

Foliar feed with 5 lbs. per acre PowerFol (27-20-13), (36-10-06) or 4.5 lit. of (7-4-6) Ready Phos. Canola and Mustard respond very favorably to (7-4-6) Ready Phos. Stronger podding and longer flowering as well as healthier plants may be realized. An additional 5 lbs. per acre may be applied to irrigated crops. PowerFol may be applied by aircraft, regular spraying equipment or by fertigation.

Note: Use in conjunction with your regular Nitrogen and Sulfur Program.
Note: PowerFol fertilizer is non-corrosive and may be applied through irrigation equipment.

Corn

Step 1

Apply 20-30 lbs. per acre of PowerPak (8-19-19 / 9-36-9) granular blend with the seed.

Step 2

Foliar feed at 5 lbs. per acre with PowerFol (27-20-13) when corn is about 6 inches to 1 foot high. Under irrigated land you may use 10 lbs. per acre of PowerFol (27-20-13).

Note: Use in conjunction with your regular Nitrogen Program.
Note: PowerFol fertilizer is non-corrosive and may be applied through irrigation equipment.

Oats (Dryland)

Step 1

Treat seed with PowerRoot (1-2-1) liquid concentrate at least 2 hours prior to seeding.
* Does not replace Vitavax.

Step 2

Apply 20-30 lbs. per acre of PowerPak (8-18-18 / 8-34-8) granular blend in row at seeding time.
* Replaces your present phosphate, potash and sulphur program.

Step 3

Apply 5 lbs. per acre of PowerFol (27-20-13) when plants are at the 3 to 4 leaf stage, generally with herbicide.

Oats (Irrigation)

Step 1

Treat seed with PowerRoot (1-2-1) liquid concentrate. Follow label directions. 1 jug treats 200 to 300 bushels.
* Does not replace Vitavax.

Step 2

Apply PowerPak (8-18-18 / 8-34-8) granular blend at 20 lbs. per acre with seed.
* Replaces all nutrient requirements other than the grower’s present Nitrogen Program.

Step 3

Apply 5 to 7 lbs. per acre of PowerFol (27-20-13) when grain is in 3 to 4 leaf stage. Mixes well and may be applied with most herbicides.

Peas & Lentils

Step 1

PowerRoot (1-2-1) should be used as the liquid in your inoculant (dilute PowerRoot to label directions).
* If applying Selfstik inoculant, do NOT use PowerRoot (1-2-1).

Step 2

Apply 15-20 lbs. per acre of PowerPak (8-34-8) or (8-18-18) granular blend with the seed. Also, we have just introduced non-chloride blends for legumes. Apply 15-20 lbs. per acre of PowerPak (7-19-19 NC) or (8-35-8 NC) granular blend with the seed.

Step 3

Foliar feed prior to flowering with 5 lbs. per acre of PowerFol (27-20-13). This may lengthen podding time and increase seed set.

Note: Use in conjunction with your regular Nitrogen Program.
Note: PowerFol fertilizer is non-corrosive and may be applied through irrigation equipment.

Potatoes (Foliar Application)

PowerRich Balanced Fertility Program may produce higher quality, high volume and a lot more marketable potatoes.

Step 1

When plants are 3-4 inches (6-8 cm) high, apply one or two sprays of PowerFol (10-30-20) at a rate of 5 lbs. per acre.

Step 2

Later in the growing season, applications of PowerFol (27-20-13) at 5 lbs. per acre can be used to improve foliage color and tuber development when soil conditions are favorable. Potatoes set the majority of tubers between the 70th and 100th day after planting. Foliar feeding can help carry the plant through adverse soil and temperature conditions which may occur during this critical period.

Note: Use in conjunction with your regular Nitrogen Program.
Note: PowerFol fertilizer is non-corrosive and may be applied through irrigation equipment.

Soya Beans (Dryland)

Step 1
